Since I’m not asleep (for some silly Reason), I should probably blog about … THE BIRTH!!! Jessica has given birth to our second child and we’re already out of the hospital and home. Jess called me at work, early Monday morning around three. She was having irregular contractions but I got it together and left Bellingham around four. I caught the 5:50 ferry and was with her at Harrison Hospital in Silverdale (from Bellingham!), Kitsap County, before seven. Jessica yielded to persuasion and had her water broken (to prevent childbirth from stalling) at around nine and given birth over four pushes at 10:07 a.m. PDT. Elanor Laes Murphy was 8lb 10oz, 20 inches at birth and perfectly healthy. No more sleep!
