Firefox

These are all the things I add to Firefox:

DeliciousDel.icio.us is the original online bookmark storing and sharing site. This fantastic plugin puts all of your bookmarks at your fingertips, whatever machine you’re on. It can also show a sidebar of all your tags.

DownloadThe “downloads” window that opens as a default in Firefox is pretty inconvenient and inaccessible. This plugin puts your downloads in the status bar. (I like to have them fade away five seconds after completing.)

ForecastfoxI like to know what’s coming up in the weather. This handy plugin sits in the status bar and show current and future conditions from accuweather.com. I save real estate by having it show only icons and get the details by mouse rollover.

Answers.comEver run into website that you just don’t understand? Don’t want to open a new tab just to Google every word you don’t know? Now you can just right-click on any word and open a new tab about it, via Answers.com.

StumbleUpon Stumble Upon is an awesome repository of websites, tagged and sorted. You specify the topics that interest you and then you have a random button for the internet!

ScribeFireThis is plugin that made me move back to Firefox from Flock. I find most of the things I blog about on the internet. It used to be called Performancing, but whatever the name, it’s a tool to blog from within the browser.

FireFTPFireFTP is a full-fledged File Transfer Protocol program contained within Firefox. I am often somewhere that can not install a program, but I can add a plugin to Firefox. Highly recommended.

BibleFoxThis is a theme for Firefox, a kind of skin that let’s you change the look of the browser. This one is very Christian. There is also a blue version.

SearchA really cool feature of Firefox is the search engine box in the upper right corner. I got used to calling it the “Google box” from using Safari. However, with Firefox, you can add other search engines to the list of possibilities.

Mozilla DevThe list of possible search engines on the Firefox site is missing Google images. I found it here.

BibleAdd a toolbar to search Bible Gateway dot com right from within Firefox.
