This book is written by the Literature Prof who worked on the ESV (hence, no Greek or Hebrew knowledge). He does, however have lots of good arguments for what makes a good Bible translation and has lots of good things to say about the train of work stemming from the KJV onward. He even sets up such high, Biblical, godly standards for what a translations should be that even the ESV falls short, though it is the closest. There are a few times where he lapses into sheer propaganda for the version he worked on, but overall, an important read for all readers of the Bible (which should be everyone!).
